A 21-year-old from Kosovo, resident in France, has been arrested by the police this Wednesday in the Port of Durres. According to the police report, young Valmir Ademi tried to smuggle a pistol-type firearm to France.
During the checks carried out on the second line, in the “Fiat 500” type vehicle driven by the 21-year-old, the Police found a pistol firearm and 2 of its magazines hidden, which were seized as material evidence.
Following the arrest, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, for further actions for the criminal offense “Trafficking of weapons and ammunition”.
“Besides the maximum commitment to provide professional, fast and ethical service to the flow of citizens entering/exiting, the investigative and operational structures of the Border Police of the port of Durrës continue to control citizens and the means by which they move , with the aim of preventing and combating border crimes.
As a result of the information provided by the police intelligence, that a citizen possessed firearms that he would traffic to his place of residence, the police operation coded “Resident” was finalized, within which, at the exit of RSh, citizen from Kosovo, Valmir Ademi, 21 years old, resident in France, was caught red-handed and arrested”, announced the police.
