A criminal group, which falsified documents that served to go to the USA, Canada, Britain and the Schengen area, was attacked by the police of Korça.
Within the coded operation “The Counterfeiters”, 3 citizens who practiced this criminal activity against the payment of 300-10,000 euros, were arrested. The arrested are Thanas Sholla, Besnik Dine and Artur Rakip.
As material evidence, hundreds of forged documents, photocopies of foreign and Albanian documents, suspected to be forged, computer equipment, production and plasticizing machines, stamps, symbols, emblems of foreign countries, vehicles, sums of money secured by this activity were seized.
The operation was carried out by the Economic-Financial Crime Investigation Section in cooperation with the Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the State Police, under the direction of the District Prosecutor’s Office, after a 5-month investigation.
