Justice reform, Yuri Kim meeting with Ulsi Manja

The US ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, met yesterday with the Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja to review the progress in the implementation of the reform in justice and its importance for Albania’s aspirations for EU integration.

Through a post on the official website of the American embassy in Tirana, the ambassador said that in the meeting with Manja, she emphasized again the statement that the American President, Joe Biden, said in June 2021.

Biden identified the fight against corruption as a core national security interest because it threatens security, economic equality, progress and democracy.

The meeting precedes Minister Manja’s participation in the 20th International Anti-Corruption Conference (IAAC) in Washington, DC, December 6-10.
