After the ceremony of signing the agreements between the two governments, Prime Minister Rama and his Montenegrin counterpart, Dritan Abazovic, attended a press conference. In his speech, Rama emphasized that Albania and Montenegro are more than neighbors and that there is brotherly rapprochement between the two countries.
“Dear Prime Minister, first of all I would like to express my thanks on behalf of our entire delegation, not for formality, but because once again we have felt firsthand the warmth of hospitality and brotherly closeness between us. I want to repeat here what I said at the meeting that Albania and Montenegro are more than neighbors and we can do more than what they have done so far.
We meet at a very challenging moment for Europe and our countries and in this context, apart from the direct challenges, the value of this warmth and brotherhood becomes even greater. We have been together, we have visited Kiev and Zelensky in respect of our mandate as prime ministers of two countries that have been aligned since the first time of Russian aggression, of two countries that are united in the EU, members of NATO, and as our visit to Kiev, as well as our joint efforts on these fronts, are the foundation of a relationship that has a tremendous potential to deepen,” said Rama.
Furthermore, the head of the Albanian government added that in June of this year the Open Balkans summit will be held in Montenegro.
