The Italian police, in cooperation with SPAK, have announced a search for a person in Albania, after they are accused of stealing millions of euros through the Internet.
In the framework of the joint operation with Albania, the Italian authorities also arrested 3 people.
Precautionary measures and controls have been carried out against Albanian citizens, all residing in Tirana and part of an organization that is suspected of defrauding Italian citizens for several million euros.
During more than 42 thousand telephone interceptions carried out by the Italian investigators, it turned out how skilled the Albanians were with the techniques of persuasion and plagiarism, up to persuading citizens to go into debt and pay hundreds of thousands of euros.
The amount of the fraud is several million euros, but this can only be the tip of the iceberg, it is said in the Italian media, since only the analysis of the seized computer systems will be able to determine the real amounts.
Italian authorities report that two call centers with more than 60 and two servers have been seized.
