Interior Minister, Taulant Balla, has welcomed this Thursday the operation of the State Police, which has made possible the destruction of thousands of cannabis roots and the identification of the perpetrators.
Through a post on social networks, Minister Balla declared that so far, 202 perpetrators have been identified nationwide, of which 111 have been arrested, and expresses his belief that such operations will be intensified.
“State Police has just completed an extremely difficult operation from the ground and the air in some mountainous areas of Shkodra, for the destruction of thousands of cannabis roots and the identification of the persons involved in this criminal activity.
So far, 289,357 cannabis sativa narcotic plants (246,357 plants and 41,713 seedlings) have been destroyed nationwide. 202 perpetrators have been identified, of which 111 have been arrested, 63 are wanted, 29 with other security measures.
114 people were criminally prosecuted for abuse of duty and failure to report a crime. Congratulations to the State Police”, pointed out Balla.
