A 23-year-old man was arrested on Saturday while transporting 21 illegal immigrants in the border with Kosovo.
He had promised the emigrants that he would transport them to one of the border points with Kosovo, if they paid a certain amount of money. The immigrant’s destination was a European Union country.
For several months now, aid and transportation of illegal immigrants has become a widespread phenomenon in Albania.
The police, mainly those from Korca and Pogradec, arrest people every day who, promise transport to immigrants.
