The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti from the “GLOBSEC” forum in Bratislava has stated that he is ready to meet with the President of Serbia, Aleksander Vucic.
He added that a more intensified dialogue is needed and not just high-level meetings once every two months.
Kurti expressed that he likes the agreement, including the self-management of the Serbian community, stating that he will protect them as he is also their prime minister.
“If EU and USA organize a meeting with Vucic, I am always ready, because I like the agreement, including the self-management of the Serbian community, because I want to protect the Serbs, I am also their prime minister.
I want to engage with the Serbian community for their rights. They should be the last beneficiaries. For one thing, I cannot compensate Vuçiç for the loss that Serbia as a country has suffered due to the crimes of the Milosevic regime, but I am here to ensure that Serbs enjoy all their rights,” Kurti said.
Regarding the fact that there is still hatred on both sides regarding what happened before, Kurti said that there are still open wounds and that regarding the missing, this issue should be treated as a priority even in implementation, after approval of a statement between the prime minister of Kosovo and that of Serbia on May 2.
