How young Kenyan woman was found unconscious in Tirana

A young woman from Kenya, who lives on rent in the Albanian capital, Tirana, has been found unconscious near her apartment, while her friend filed a police report about losing contact with her.

In relation to this event, Tirana’s police said that it is being investigated for “intentional serious injury”.

Meanwhile, the officers carried out all investigative actions delegated by the Prosecutor’s Office to clarify the circumstances of this case.

“On 14.08.2022, a citizen from Kenya reported the loss of contact with her friend, citizen J. A., 22 years old, from Kenya, living in a rented apartment on “Pandeli Evangjeli” street, who was then found unconscious near her apartment.

In relation to this case, we clarify that Police Station No. 1 evaluated the denunciation made and reacted in time. At the end of the first investigative actions for this case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court, which has registered the criminal proceedings, for the criminal offense “Deliberate serious injury”.

Also, we clarify that the investigative structures of Police Station No. 1 Tirana have carried out all investigative actions delegated by the Prosecutor’s Office, to clarify the circumstances of this case”, announced the police.
