High temperatures originating from North Africa have increased the risk of forest fires in Albania. The Institute of Geosciences, Energy, Water and Environment (IGJEUM) warns that this Thursday and Friday the risk is high for fires in two regions, Fier and Berat. While in the other regions of the country the risk is lower.

Today afternoon (Thursday, dt.24) and tomorrow (Friday, dt.25) is expected a “HIGH” level of risk in the regions of Fier, Berat and a level of “MODERATED” risk in the rest of the regions of the country (as shown in the table, respectively for each circuit).
In some regions, “HIGH” risk is expected only in localized areas, namely: Tirana (NW), Elbasan (W), Korça (E), Vlora (N) and Gjirokastra (NW). The risk is expected to be higher the next day.

on the coast: 23/33 ° C
in low places: 22/40 ° C
in mountainous areas: 18/34 ° C
