Around 800 officers from the Tirana Police and the National Security Forces (NSF) are committed to maintaining order and security as the opposition protest is expected to be held this Thursday against a harsher security measure on Former Prime Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Local media reported that the measures were taken by the General Directorate of State Police in coordination with DVP Tirana.
Based on field reports, high-resolution cameras have been installed in the perimeter of the Parliament to identify every movement of the protesters so that the police have all the possible evidence if there are incidents.
In the meantime, RENEA is on standby in case of incidents.
Furthermore, water tankers are located at the back of the parliament if it will be necessary to intervene.
