Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, announced Friday a series of decisions related to the policies of protection and social inclusion for the categories in need.
After the government meeting, Manastirliu said that through the subsidy, it will be possible for the categories in need to be employed in these enterprises and paid by the state with a minimum salary, as well as health and social insurance for the 3 years of next.
“Today, the government has adopted a series of important decisions within the framework of social protection and inclusion policies for categories in need and the expansion of mechanisms that enable social support of disadvantaged groups and their economic empowerment, enabling their integration into the labor market by adopted a decision which implements the law on social enterprise and determines the forms of support through subsidy.
This decision creates for the umpteenth time the social enterprise support fund for the value of 240 million ALL for the period 2023-25.
Forms of support through subsidies will make it possible for individuals from disadvantaged categories who are part of social protection programs to engage in social enterprises, enabling the state to subsidize the minimum wage for 3 years as well as social and health insurance.
One of the elements that must be completed by the social enterprise is that up to 50% of the employees must be individuals who are part of the social protection and exit from the economic assistance program.
These forms of support that we are softening comes in the framework of the economic empowerment of persons who are of active working age, part of our economic assistance programs”, said Manastirliu.
