The Special Court passed for trial the file in charge of the former mayor of the municipality of Durrës Vangjush Dakos and other former officials accused of abuse of office and falsification of documents. Dako was not present at Wednesday’s session, while he is accused of abuse of office in two cases.
The first is related to the granting of a permit contrary to the law for the construction of a palace in Durrës and the second to the miscalculation of the project for the construction of the coastline. We remind you that on April 8, the Special Appeal left the measure of house arrest unchanged for Vangjush Dako.
SPAK demanded the return of the former mayor of Durrës to his cell, while the court released him after the detention period ended.
Dako was arrested last June on charges of abuse of office. Dako was released from the cell in February with the argument that the terms of detention for him have ended. /abcnews.al
