A 44-year-old man in Gjirokastër has been arrested his Tuesday, after he abused his mother and threatened her with a hunting rifle.
Gun in question was seized as material evidence along with a quantity of combat ammunition for this type of weapon, a quantity of cannabis and a knife, which the 44-year-old possessed.
Meanwhile, the materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
“Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes of the Gjirokastra Police Station, immediately after receiving the report from a 71-year-old citizen, that her son had raped her and threatened her with a shotgun, immediately organized the work and arrested the citizen in the act 44 years old, resident of Zhulat village, Gjirokastër.
This citizen exercised physical and psychological violence against his mother and threatened her with a shotgun that he possessed with a permit”, said the police.
