46-year-old, resident of Berat, has been arrested this Friday after stealing valuables off a house in the Dropulli area of Gjirokastra.
Police revealed that the arrested is the citizen with initials A.M, previously convicted for the same criminal offense.
Nine watches, 13 pendants, 9 bracelets, a significant amount of money and other jewelry were seized as material evidence.
Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Gjirokastra Judicial District Court for further actions.
“As a result of the immediate response of the services of the Gjirokastër Police Station, for a case of theft committed in a residence in the village of Vanistër, Dropull, the police operation coded “Value” was organized and finalized.
As part of this operation, the suspected author, citizen A. M., 46 years old, resident of Berat, was identified and caught a few hours after committing the theft. From the investigative and operational actions, it is suspected that the 46-year-old, on 21.04.2023, stole a significant amount of money, 9 watches, 13 pendants, 9 bracelets and other jewelry from a citizen’s apartment, in the village of Vanister, Dropull”, announced the law enforcement.
