The General Secretary of the Socialist Party, Damian Gjiknuri, stated that he has appeared in SPAK to testify about one of the biggest abuses on the Tirana-Elbasan road, which according to him was contracted to be built with a value that started with 240 million euros and ended with 400 million euros.
Gjiknuri, at the time when he was Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, reported to the prosecutor’s office the abuses found in the audit report carried out for the implementation of this project and the responsibilities of the former managers of ARRSH. Gjiknuri ordered the audit and submitted the report in December 2017.
Gjiknuri was called to testify in SPAK as a person who has knowledge of the issue of abuses that occurred during the implementation of the Tirana-Elbasan road project. Today, he again gave explanations on this matter after the acquittal of the former accused officials.
