Germany assign 4milion euros in aid after the earthquake

The German government will provide  4milion euros fund, for emergency relief after the earthquake that struck Albania on November 26, 2019, which will be awarded through the German Development Bank KfW as a development partner.

The news was confirmed today, where the German Government officially announced to the Albanian Government the solidarity fund after the tragic earthquake, which left 51 victims and thousands of families without homes.

These funds will be used to rebuild schools and other public buildings in the areas of Tirana, Durres, Kruja, etc., which were most affected by the earthquake.

“Today we officially informed the Albanian government: The Federal Government will support reconstruction after the horrific November 26 earthquake with fund of 4milion euros through the German Bank for Development (KfW).

It will be used to rebuild schools and public buildings in line with the latest standards of safety and energy efficiency, ”the embassy said in a statement.

The German Ambassador to Albania, Mr. Peter Zingraf stated:

“Germany will help Albania rebuild schools and public institutions. This  is one of the elements of German support after the November 26 earthquake that traumatized many Albanians.  Reconstruction will serve to slowly restore normal life. “/abcnews.al
