The session did not take place due to the absence of two prosecutors, Arben Kraja and Klodian Braho, who had informed the court that they are in an activity for work reasons. Journalist Ermal Vija told ABC News that despite this, the experts declared in court that they do not have to be part of the process.
“We were attached to the prosecutor’s office because of the task we had, but we were not licensed. We don’t remember what we did 16 years ago. We did what we had to say in front of the prosecutor Sokol Stojani. How can we answer today when 16 years have passed. I am not an expert, let the prosecutor Stojani come to the trial with whom we spoke at that time”.
Another expert took the same position, saying: “We are over 70 years old, what can we testify about something when so much time has passed. How many acts have we done, how can we claim to remember them all”.
