The appeal of GJKKO has left in prison the former MP, Alqi Bllako, thus not accepting his request for relief of the security measure.

The former socialist MP remains in the cell again, while in today’s court session he has denied the accusations against him for the expropriation of the land where the Fier incinerator was built. As the journalist Xhensila Kodra learns, Bllako has expressed to the black platoon that he has no role in the procedure performed.

“I have no role in expropriating the land where the incinerator in Fier was built,” said Bllako.

While, regarding the accusation of hiring his father, the former SP MP said that he was not a secretary in the Ministry of Environment, but employed in the Presidency.

“Regarding the employment of my father in the incinerator in Tirana, I was not a secretary in the Ministry of Environment, but employed in the Presidency,” he said.

Alqi Bllako demanded his release from prison, arguing that there was no evidence of his arrest. The former MP claims that there is no evidence, for his guilt, he immediately argues that he is not dangerous and does not avoid the investigation. But his request was rejected by the GJKKO Appeal, leaving the former socialist MP in prison again.

The former Socialist MP is accused of abuse of office and corruption. Investigations have shown that Bllako, while holding the post of Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment, in cooperation with former Minister Lefter Koka and former chairman of the Expropriation Commission Pellumb Abeshi, forged the document regarding the land area where the incinerator was built, causing damage to the state budget of 16 million ALL.

Bllako is also suspected of favoring businessman Klodian Zoto for the construction of the incinerator and in return received a sum of 14 million ALL. Bllako is the second senior official arrested for this affair, after the former Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka.
