The Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Court has issued 22 arrest warrants for the much-discussed “339” file, which deals with vote theft, the cocaine lab in Has and a number of other cases. Arrest warrants were issued at the request of the SPAK.
Among the arrest warrants are several local officials as well as other persons who are implicated in one of the aforementioned issues. There are decisions under house arrest, but also the obligation to appear.
This operation was carried out during the night hours, in Tirana and Durrës, while for this case there have been arrests before. The decision was taken by Judge Irena Gjoka, who returned the file to the prosecution in April for further investigation.
The defendants in this case are charged with a number of criminal offenses including “Narcotics trafficking”, “Structured criminal group”, “Money laundering” and “Illegal possession of weapons”./abcnews.al
