The State Police reacted after the serious incident where a 27-year-old man, Jani Rustemaj, fell into a coma after being arrested in Tirana for theft.
Rustemaj was arrested on April 13, while on April 14, Rustemaj showed health concerns and after being given quick help, he improved. According to the police, two days later Rustemaj showed health problems again and was sent to “Mother Teresa” hospital.
Jani Rustemaj has been admitted to the hospital where police officers have been deployed to protect him. On April 90, Rustemajt’s mother filed a criminal complaint about her son’s health treatment.
After the report, the police announced that they have launched an investigation into the causes and circumstances of the incident.
