The well-known conductor from Shkodra, Kujtim Alija, has passed away. Kujtim Alija, organizer for many years of the nationwide children’s festival and director of the children’s cultural center in Shkodra, suffered for years from a serious illness.
The mayor Voltani Ademi calls the premature departure from this world of Kujtim Alija an extraordinary loss for the Albanian art and culture.
“Today has started with very sad news! Grand Master Kujtim Alija has passed away!
An extraordinary loss for Albanian art and culture, Shkodra and Albania. I have no words to describe this very premature departure of my teacher, the teacher of all children, of the Professor Kujtim Alija.
Rest in peace, Grand Master, condolences to the Alija family for this great loss!”, writes Voltana Ademi.
