The Socialist Party has filed a lawsuit against the Central Election Commission (CEC). ABC News journalist Fjona Xhafaj reports that the lawsuit from the socialists came after the Regulatory Commission in the CEC did not approve some procedural deadlines for the partial elections in Himara that will be held on August 4.
“SP has filed a lawsuit regarding the held meeting of the regulatory commission, regarding the deadlines for the election processes in Himare. An agreement has not been reached even on the establishment of KZAZ.
President Begaj has decreed August 4 for the elections in Himara. Failure to reach this agreement and the opposition’s claims that the president’s decree is not valid, have led the SP to file a lawsuit against the CEC.
It will be seen what will happen after this lawsuit by the SP”, reported ABC News journalist Fjona Xhafaj./abcnews.al
