Vlora’s Local Police Directorate has conducted this Monday the police operation codenamed “Obelisk”, in cooperation with the “RENEA” Special Forces, arresting citizens Satilno Basho, Mariglen Aliaj, Bruno Shehu, Mehmet Hoxhaj, Beraldo Xhindi and Kevin Metaj.
Santilno Basho and Mariglen Aliaj, part of a dangerous criminal group, were caught armed in a bar, with two pistols ready to fire. However, the other four citizens, three of them part of the criminal group, were put in handcuffs for not reporting the crime.
According to the authorities, the arrested have a previous criminal record in the field of serious crimes against the person.
Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Vlora for further actions against the detainees.

Following the operations carried out by the Vlora Police, with the aim of preventing criminal events, arresting citizens who are dangerous to the community, members of criminal groups, the services of the Local Police Directorate of Vlora have provided information about 2 citizens who were armed. , in a bar in Vlora, who could commit serious criminal events against the person. Based on this information, in cooperation with the “RENEA” Special Forces, the coded police operation “Obelisk” was organized and finalized, as a result of which the following citizens were arrested:
-S. B., 37 years old, resident in Vlora, for the criminal offense “Possessing and manufacturing weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”;
-M. A., 33 years old, resident in Vlora, for the criminal offense “Possessing and manufacturing weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”;
-B. Sh., 29 years old, resident in Vlora, for the criminal offense of “Disobedience of crime”;
-M. H., 27 years old, resident of Vlora, for the criminal offense of “Disobedience of crime”;
-B. Xh., 29 years old, resident of Vlora, for the criminal offense of “Disobedience of crime”;
– K. M., 28 years old, resident of Vlora, for the criminal offense of “Disqualification of crime”.
These citizens, members of a dangerous criminal group and with previous criminal precedents, in the field of serious crimes against the person, were caught in the act, in the premises of a bar, in the “Lef Sallata” neighborhood. During the physical checks and in this bar, the Police found citizens S.B. and M.A., two pistol firearms (“Glock” and “TT”), with cartridges in the slot, ready to fire. Weapons were seized as material evidence, together with 3 vehicles owned by the arrested citizens, 2600 euros and 8 mobile phones.
Meanwhile, the other 4 arrested citizens are suspected to have known about the 2 armed citizens and did not report the crime”, informed the law enforcement.
