Exchange of fire between Kosovo police and 5 people in North

Kosovo police have announced that they have arrested five people in Zubin Potok, in an exchange of fire towards the police. The persons were detained on suspicion of smuggling goods, the deputy director for the northern region, Veton Elshani.

“Today in the early hours of the morning in the vicinity of the municipality of Zubin Potok, the police came across a truck and several cars which were believed to be smuggling goods.

During the attempt to stop, there was an exchange of gunfire, but no one was injured. 5 people were arrested, while the trunk and three cars were confiscated”, said Elshani.

Regional investigations are dealing with the case, which is described as an attack on official persons, possession of narcotics and smuggling of goods.
