Escobar host by opposition in Tirana ahead of May 14 polls

Special emissary of the United States for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Gabriel Escobar has been received this Wednesday by the appointed Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Enkelejd Alibeaj, accompanied by the US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim.

During the meeting, Alibeaj has been accompanied by MPs Gazmend Bardhi, Kreshnik Collaku and Orjola Pampuri.

Focus of the gathering’s discussions will reportedly be the political situation in the country and the upcoming elections on May 14.

On Tuesday, the US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, held several meetings with the Albanian head of state, President Bajram Begaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
