The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku declared that the creation of the energy exchange, which will be joint, of Albania and Kosovo, is the crowning of a 5-year work.
During her speech, in the activity that was held for the auction for this scholarship, Balluku said that this is only the first step.
“Today we are here to mark a 5-year work. A job which at some moments seemed impossible, as if it would never be resolved, as if it would never end.
But in the meantime, the year 2022 has marked the extreme need to have an energy exchange for Albania and Kosovo.
This is only the first step, now we officially have an energy exchange, the second in the region, which belongs to the Republic of Albania and Kosovo.
Now a new step begins, a new struggle for the creation of liquidity that this stock exchange should have.
The Albanian government prioritizes protecting the consumer from outrageous market prices. Today Albania is in one of the best positions in the region in terms of the energy strategy, the developments we will give to the country and all the goals we have set ourselves to achieve in 2030″, she emphasized.
