Albanian Parliament announced this Tuesday that the next plenary session will be held on October 5, 2020, and not on October 1, as previously planned.
In the announcement, the Parliament states that Thursday’s session will take place on Monday at 10.00 a.. According to the announcement, this change is made to help the parties for dialogue regarding the changes in the Electoral Code.
“I would like to inform you that the request for removal from the agenda of legislative initiatives related to the amendments to the Electoral Code, scheduled for the plenary session on October 1, 2020, has been submitted by the chairmen of the opposition parliamentary groups.
By order of the Chairman of Parliament, Gramoz Ruçi, in order to give sufficient time to the parliamentary groups for dialogue regarding the changes in the Electoral Code as well as to the committee responsible for Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights for their review, the plenary session of the Albanian Parliament, scheduled for on Thursday, October 1, at 10:00, will take place on Monday, October 5, at 10:00,” Parliament made known./abcnews.al
