Rrogozhina and Kukes will have new elections for the mayor, even though the reasons are different.
The Electoral College forced a repeat of voting in Rrogozhina, because the victory of the Socialist Party was determined by the votes of prisoners, while Kukes will elect a new mayor after the sexual scandal involving Safet Gjici, who was dismissed from the government.
The date for holding new elections is not determined by the same institution.
Regardless of whether they will be held on the same date, or on different days, both in Rrogozhin and in Kukës, there will be no more voting for the municipal council. The race will be only for the mayor.
