Elbasan police have put in handcuffs a 65-year-old man, who is accused of having intercourse with a 6-year-old minor in 2015. It was the minor, now 14 years old, who together with her mother who went to the police station reporting the crime committed by the elderly man in 2015.
According to the minor’s testimony, in 2015, while she was at her grandparents’ house, the neighbor, then 56 years old, sexually abused her. Due to her young age, the girl said she does not remember details.
On his part, the arrested person denied the incident, while the police are investigating for witnesses to confirm the incident, otherwise the elderly man will be released due to lack of evidence.
However, the procedural actions with the minor were carried out in the presence of her mother, the psychologist and the lawyer, while the investigations continue under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, to verify this report.
“Specialists for the investigation of crimes of the Elbasan Police Station arrested the citizen, 65 years old, a resident of Elbasan, after at around 10:00, on 20.08.2023, a 14-year-old and the mother of of her, which reported that in 2015, the citizen had violent sexual relations with the minor in her grandparents’ house”, announced the police.
