15 Albanians have been arrested by the police in Spain after being accused of cannabis cultivation. It is learned that these persons were captured in Malaga and functioned as a structured criminal group. Albanians are reported to have caught 3696 plants at different stages of growth and 167 kilograms of buds.
Investigations began in May last year after they found a house in Coín that emitted a strong marijuana smell that prompted agents to identify the persons who had it.
These efforts made possible the discovery of a network of houses that the group used to cultivate marijuana. Agents found six other homes with similar characteristics in Mijas, Alhaurín de la Torre, Marbella and Fuengirola used for the same purpose.
“The group leaders were responsible for providing the necessary logistics for the other members who were doing the housekeeping work,” police explained.
A total of 3696 marijuana plants in different stages of growth, 167 kilograms of marijuana buds, 6336 euros cash, 3 vehicles and 1 GPS system detector were seized from the operation.
