The Democratic Party starts today the selection of candidates for MPs, thus marking the start of the election campaign.
Sources for ABC News journalist Juxhin Mustafaraj suggest that the leadership of the Democratic Party has approved the selection of candidates for MP, where the main role is on the membership.
This is one of the steps through which membership is strengthened, its role is enhanced and a strong bond and accountability between the elected and the party member is guaranteed.
For the first time, a nomination evaluation commission will be set up. The rules and principles on which the selection of candidates will be carried out are divided into four stages.
1-Identification and nomination of candidates by members. Each member has the right to propose a candidate. Even those individuals who have not been nominated by the membership have the right to self-promotion
2-Certification and selection of candidates by the Commission for the Evaluation of Candidates.
3-Consultation of the list of potential candidates from the membership with the principle 1 member, 1 vote.
4-Officialization of the list by the party leadership and approval by the National Council.
Through this process, the DP guarantees an open process for all those who want to be part of the race.
