Non-parliamentary opposition has boycotted this Friday’s meeting of the Political Council, as it doesn’t accept the prevention of pre-election coalitions.
Bylykbashi says that the opposition wants a consensual solution and for this reason, the ODIHR has been asked for expertise. He adds that the pre-election coalitions must be preserved, adding that Gjiknuri and the ruling majority now have time to reflect and accept the request of the opposition.
“The January 14 agreement states that if the parties do not have a consensus, they should turn to the OSCE. We want consensual solutions. The SP will change what is consensually accepted for 17 years.
We officially want the SP to address the OSCE. We are waiting for an official written answer from Gjiknuri. We gave him time to reflect. We do not move from pre-election coalitions, without obtaining expertise from the ODIHR.
We have made a formal request, we are waiting for a response. January 14 is the foundation of functioning,” said Bylykbashi./abcnews.al
