From Ohrid, Prime Minister Rama gave a message to Kosovo, which refused to join the Open Balkans initiative summit. Rama said that the old conflict with Serbia is resolved only by approaching.
“I strongly believe that more closely we get, the more chances there are to resolve conflicts, the more chances there are for a final peace between Albania and Kosovo.
A topic on which I have no agreement with the President of Serbia. But here the solution is very simple, or this disagreement turns into a permanent conflict with all the gaps that remain in our economy, in our security and so on, or the opposite must be done, to get as close as possible to understand as much as possible very much to each other and in the end people to be aware that the future is more important than the past.
Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina are participating in the Open Balkan summit for the first time, while Kosovo is missing this time as well. Oliver Varhelyi, the EC Commissioner for Enlargement, is also present at the Ohrid summit, while it is learned that the US envoy, Gabriel Escobar, will also participate online.
