Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK) suspended this Wednesday the deputy mayor of Kukes Municipality, Granit Gjana, on the charge of violation of tenders equality.
According to SPAK, Ghana, in violation of the law, did not provide an authorization for the use of fuels to an entity competing for a tender worth 21 million euros for fuel supply.
“This citizen with his inactions, specifically not having the authorization for fuel trading at the right time, even though the subject “U. C” shpk, had made the necessary payments and submitted the documentation to the state body according to the law, has prevented the EO from qualifying in the two tender procedures with the object “Fuel Purchase”, in the amount of 21,000,000 ALL, organized by the Authority Contractor Municipality of Kukës during the year 2023.
As a result, the citizen under investigation G. Gj. has damaged the legal interests of the legal entity “U. C.” Shpk, preventing this entity from qualifying in the above procurement procedure”, said the announcement of SPAK.
