Two Albanians, declared internationally wanted, have been arrested in Spain and Italy. In Spain, a 29-year-old man was arrested as part of the police operation, “The Zone”.
For this citizen, the Court of Shkodra has assigned the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offenses “Cultivation of narcotic plants” and “Production and sale of narcotics”.
The 29-year-old is accused of, in collaboration with his father and brother, in 2022, adapting an environment in Shkodër for drying and producing cannabis. While in Italy, 37-year-old Edvaldo Nanushi was arrested as part of the “Gain” operation. In 2022, the Court of Kruja sentenced this citizen to 3 years of imprisonment for the criminal offense of “Fraud”.
The cooperation of the Albanian police with counterparts continues, to finalize the extradition of these 2 citizens to Albania./abcnews.al
