The first cases of re-infections with coronavirus have been confirmed in Albania. ABC learns that in Shkodra, this early week, two positive cases were registered that had passed the disease six months ago.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu in a press conference stated that there are indications that coronavirus mutations may have already arrived in Albania.
Manastirliu stated that there are several factors that are pushing health experts to believe that Covid mutations may be here. She listed as indcicie, the high circulation of the virus among young people as well as cases of re-infections that are occurring.
Coronavirus mutations, that of Great Britain and South Africa, have already been confirmed in neighboring countries such as Greece, while cases of re-infection have been confirmed in Kosovo. / abcnews.al /
