The number of people infected with coronavirus in Albania has increased to 55, of which 38 are in Tirana alone.
According to data published by the Ministry of Health, there are 8 doctors and nurses at the Shefqet Ndroqi Hospital in Sauk. Medical staff are in good health but need to stay isolated.
How the medical staff in the Senatorium became infected:
Initially, two were infected at the Senatorium hospital, but the number has now gone to 8.
A Lushnja patient was hospitalized at Sanatorium for other concerns unrelated to coronavirus, and was visited a few days ago by a relative from Italy.
It is suspected that the patient’s relative was infected with coronavirus, and consequently infected the hospitalized patient.
89 health personnel were tested at Shefqet Ndroqi Hospital and resulted positive only 8 doctors and nurses.
The patient who was hospitalized at the Sanatorium was transferred to the infectious hospital in Tirana. /abcnews.al
