This Saturday, the coronation ceremony of King Charles III was held in the United Kingdom. The journalist of ABC News, Isida Muço, reported from London that the atmosphere does not feel the same as there are places where the citizens have continued normally with their plans, putting interest in the swearing-in ceremony in the background.
“Different citizens have come here to watch the swearing-in ceremony of the king on this video wall. In London, with as much information as I have, there is heavy traffic, especially in the center of the city where the official swearing-in ceremony is held,” she said.
Even, there are those cities where this festive atmosphere is not felt enough. Referring to the media, but also to conversations with British citizens, the journalist says that many of them are against King Charles III.
“There will be activities in some cities. It’s not the same atmosphere as it is in London. There were divided citizens, there are passionate people, but there are also those who followed their work.
The atmosphere is very pleasant, because there are also families who took their own bread, used it as a kind of picnic and see and the coronation ceremony. Citizens speak out against excessive spending. They say prices have gone up, living costs have gone up and everything else. According to them, this pompous ceremony should have been more moderate”, reported the journalist.
