CEC approves results of May 14 elections in Tirana, Durrës

The Central Election Commission has approved the results of the May 14 elections for the Municipality of Tirana and that of Durrës.

Thus, the chief commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi declared that Erion Veliaj is officially the winning candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, showing the valid votes that each of the candidates received in the race.

“We approve the result of the vote for mayor of Tirana with the following information. Ballots found in boxes 302,695, invalid votes 11,939, wrong ballots 339.

Valid votes are 290 446 divided according to the candidates, Arlind Qori 13851 votes, Marko Dajti 2809. Lajla Përnaska 2107, the winning candidate 158,856, for Mr. Belind Kelliçi 100 425 and from Mr. Roland Bejko, 12,398 votes. We also approve the summary table for voting for council members”, he said.

Celibashi also certified Emirjana Sako as the winning candidate for the Municipality of Durrës, in front of the “Together We Win” candidate, Igli Cara.
