Police of Lezha have arrested Friday the 66-year-old Qemal Ajazi, who produced mines with remote control, to sell them in the Lezha district, to citizens or groups that carried out criminal activities, to use them for crimes against the person.
Law officers seized 3 remote control mines, 2 firearms, 40 tritol molds, 45 detonator capsules, 45 cartridge combs and about 2,200 combat cartridges.
On their part, the officers are continuing the in-depth investigative actions, with the aim of clarifying and fully documenting this criminal activity, identifying and capturing other citizens implicated in this case.
Afterwards, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, for further actions.
“Following the work for the prevention of criminal events, the capture of peddlers who circulate with firearms or who supply criminal persons or groups with the tools necessary to commit crimes, the investigative structures of the Local Police Directorate of Lezhë, based on police intelligence for a citizen who produced mines with remote control, to sell them for the account of criminal groups, referred the materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, which registered the criminal proceedings.
The investigative structures of the DVP Lezhë have coordinated the actions with the structures of the Dibër Local Police Directorate and within the police operation coded “AMONEKS”, they caught and arrested red-handed in the village of Arrëmolle in Lura, the citizen: 66 years old, resident of Arrëmolle, Lure.
This citizen produced remote-controlled mines, provided considerable combat ammunition and firearms, with the aim of selling them in the Lezha district, on behalf of persons or groups that carried out criminal activities.
At the time of the arrest of this citizen, the Police found and seized an arsenal of weapons, military ammunition, remote-controlled mines, detonator capsules, explosives, etc.
The investigative structures of the DVP Lezhë, in cooperation with those of the DVP Dibër and the Prosecutor’s Office, are continuing the in-depth investigative actions, with the aim of elucidating and fully documenting this criminal activity, identifying and capturing other citizens implicated in this case”, announced the police.
