The US State Secretary, Antony Blinken, commented this Tuesday his first official visit to Albania. In a comment to ‘Instagram’, Blinken said that, last week he did his first trip as Secretary to Albania, a longstanding U.S. partner and NATO ally.
“In Albania, I discussed our support for its path to EU succession, as well as fighting corruption and organized crime with President Bajram Begaj and Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
I also met with the US Embassy to Tirana team working everyday on key foreign policy priorities, including resettling thousands of Afghan allies.
Albania assistance in this effort embodies its humanity and deep-rooted tradition of taking care of and giving refuge of those in need”, said Blinken.
