The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, is expected to appear at the police today to give his testimony regarding the incident that happened in yesterday’s protest.
Sources for ABC inform that yesterday evening the two bodyguards of the former prime minister were accompanied to the police to give their testimony regarding the incident.
Sali Berisha was attacked with a fist yesterday on Dëshmorët e Kombit boulevard. The author is Gert Shehu, who is currently in the Trauma hospital under strict security measures, after he was beaten yesterday by Berisha’s bodyguards, after punching the latter.
After the attack, the perpetrator was neutralized by Berisha’s bodyguards, who kicked and punched him in the face and other parts of the body, causing injuries.
The aggressor has been identified as Gert Shehu, 31 years old, a resident of Tirana.
