Berat police have arrested this Thursday two people who tried to bring drugs into the prison. The police informs that the citizens M. D., 24 years old, resident in Kuçova (previously convicted for the criminal offense “Theft”) and A. M., 19 years old, resident in Berat, have been handcuffed.
The 2 persons in question tried to bring narcotics to the prison, and they were found drugs during the control exercised on the clothes that these citizens were sending to an detainee.
Specialists of the Crimes Section arrested in flagrante the citizens: M. D., 24 years old, resident in Kuçova (previously convicted for the criminal offense ‘Theft’) and A. M., 19 years old, resident in Berat.
Their arrest was made after they were caught trying to bring narcotics into the Berat Prison. The employees of the Berat Prison, during the control exercised on the clothes that these citizens were sending to an detainee, found and seized as material evidence a quantity of heroin narcotics weighing 0.45 gr.
The materials were submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Judicial District of Berat, for the criminal offenses ‘Production and sale of narcotics’ and ‘Possessing or passing of prohibited items in the institution of execution of imprisonment decisions,” has informed the Police./abcnews.al
