Director of State Cadastre Agency (ASHK) in Berat, Ervin Nelaj, 38 years old was left Thursday to prison by the by the Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO).
Nelaj was apprehended on Tuesday evening for passive corruption after the arrest warrant was issued by SPAK. The handcuffing was carried out around 18:30 by the police forces of Local Police Directorate of Berat, in his apartment in the “30 Vjetori” neighborhood.
Nevertheless, SPAK in cooperation with the Berat police has been investigating the head of the Cadastre for 9 months.
According to the prosecution institution, evidence has been provided that the citizen Ervin Nelaj, in the capacity of Director of the Local Directorate of the State Cadastre Agency, Berat, in cooperation with other employees in this institution, have received in some cases irregular monetary benefits, in order to carry out actions related to their duty, for the legalization of informal objects and the registration of property titles./abcnews.al
