ABC News journalist, Ermal Vija reports that GJKKO has rejected his request, while the arguments of this decision taken by the judge, Atalanta Zeqiraj, have not yet been made known.
It is learned that Beleri’s defense lawyers have mentioned as a similar case that of Mark Frroku, who, although arrested, was allowed to go to the Parliament.
Fredi Beleri, requested permission from the Directorate of Prisons, SPAK and GJJKO to be released from custody for the inauguration ceremony at the Municipal Council of the city on Tuesday, June 27 at 11.00.
It is expected that in the future the CEC will make a decision regarding the municipality of Himara.
We remind you that the candidate of the “Together Fitojmë” coalition for the Municipality of Himara was arrested on the evening of May 12, 2 days before the local elections.
Beleri is accused of “active corruption in elections carried out in cooperation”, after he was caught buying votes.
