The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, has welcomed the submission of Kosovo’s application to join the European Union. In the statement distributed to the media, Begaj heartily congratulates the Kosovo authorities for fulfilling the obligations of the membership process.
At the same time, Begaj calls on all member countries to support Kosovo’s application, as this would not only be in the best geopolitical interest of the European Union, but also a further contribution to support a country of a people with a clear European and Euro-Atlantic vocation.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, submitted today the application of Kosovo to the European Union to the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Kurti in Prague, Czech Republic, first held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky. Then, Prime Minister Kurti was received by the Minister for European Affairs of the Czech Republic, Mikulas Bek.
