The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, this Wednesday participated in the conference on the topic “Judicial practice of the Supreme Court, from national identity to universal values”.
Begaj requested that the new judicial map be properly implemented, where he emphasized that it is important that the reform in the Justice gives the expected results. He also stated that the quality in justice is and should be the measuring criterion to determine the work of all people involved.
“In these 110 years, our political history has had a difficult journey. The journey of Albanian Justice in search of an independent justice, establishing equality before the law.
Local and international have a contribution to building a transparent justice system. The Supreme Court has an irreplaceable contribution, the goal of reform started in 2014 culminated in the approval of the Constitutional amendments in 2016.
The reform has not been easy because its establishment and implementation have not included challenges and obstacles that have brought delays beyond the legal provisions.
Access to justice must be guaranteed through the correct implementation of the judicial map. Guaranteeing the independence of the system which is the reason for the justice reform.
Quality in justice is and should be the measuring criterion to determine the work of all people involved. Despite the fact that the work presents challenges and problems, I want to congratulate you. I wish you an example of success by proving professionalism, integrity, impartiality”, said Begaj.
