The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has refused the invitation of the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to participate in an informal dinner, scheduled for August 21.
This was confirmed to ABC News by the office of the President.
“In response to your interest, we inform you that on August 14, 2023, the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, sent an invitation to the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, to participate in an informal dinner, on August 21, 2023, in Athens’, says the answer.
The head of state further says that he appreciates the Greek Prime Minister for his attention to developments, which are mainly related to European security issues. The reason for the rejection of the invitation, as confirmed by the presidency, was the agenda of Mr. Begaj, which is assigned earlier.
