Counting of ballots has been stopped this Monday for several hours at the “Vasil Shanto” school in Tirana and is expected to start at 11:00.

Halting of the process has come despite the order by Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Ilirjan Celibashi vote counters must continue working without interruption.

In this counting center will be counted the votes of Unit 5, a large voter area and traditionally a Socialist Party (SP) bastion, which so far has not brought any surprises.

At a time when 1/3 of the ballot boxes in Tirana have been counted so far, Veliaj leads with about 20,000 votes compared to Belind Këlliçi. On the other hand, Arlind Qorri is ranked third, followed by Roland Bejko, then Marko Dajti and Lajla Pernaska.
